Amanda Swick

Amanda Swick is a writer for Revive Ministries and is a regular speaker at the Revive! conference. Amanda is a pastor’s wife and a homeschooling mother to 3 handsome boys. Her and family live in Prineville, Oregon and have been ministering with the Prineville Church of Christ for the past several years. Before that they spent 10 years as college ministers at Oregon State University. During those years, as she dealt with the ups and downs of campus ministry, caring for a sick child, and the general chaos of life, Amanda found her passion for prayer. Through prayer, God sustained her and brought peace that was beyond understanding (Phil 4:7). Now she is on a mission to share the joys of prayer with others. Amanda has a deep love for God’s Word and enjoys helping other women understand God’s Word. She takes her audience through a deep dive into the background context and original audience of Scripture, while at the same time encouraging us to see how God is speaking to us today!

SPEAKING TOPICS

So often we feel worn down and nearly beaten by the storms of life. In this talk, Amanda will share how to go from being tossed about by every wave in the storm, to being anchored in the hope and power that comes through worship. As she shares Scripture and her own real-life experiences, you will be equipped to worship in the middle of your own storms and find true hope and power in Christ.

Often when we are going through difficulties, it can become easy for it to become the defining factor in our lives. In the story of the woman with on-going bleeding in Luke 8:43-48, we see that when human eyes saw only saw suffering, Jesus saw infinitely more. Amanda will help us learn to find our identity in Jesus instead of our circumstances.

God is our biggest treasure and through prayer we are transformed to be more like Him. Amanda’s passion for prayer and simple approach will help you incorporate prayer into your everyday life. Amanda shares some encouraging and practical wisdom on how to revive your prayer life, or get one started for the first time.

Do you ever get stuck feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and unworthy? Amanda will unpack how finding our identity in Christ can help us break free from feeling captive to our emotions (without the extra side-helping of guilt). She’ll share practical tips on how to find freedom in Christ so that we can live more fully and purposefully in the calling God has for us.

The power of God’s love is woven throughout the fabric of the Bible. You can find it in hymns of worship and in battle cries, tender words of blessing, and declarations of confident hope. In this keynote session, we’ll journey through Scripture and see how God’s people experienced His love. We’ll learn how God accomplished incredible wonders and miracles through His people when they remembered who He was and who they were in Him. We’ll also discover how we can experience that same love and power today by grounding our identity in Christ.
